Once Again, Iran Insists ON Developing Nukes While Claiming It Has No Nuclear Weapons Program

Let me make this clear from the start: Iran is floating on oil. The nations doesn't need nuclear power, because it has more oil than it can ever hope to pump.
Now, to pick my favorite quotes:
To put in non-aristocracy terms; 'we are getting close to the possibility that, in the far future, there is a chance we may begin to see things the same way'. Or, to further reduce to layman's terms; 'damn, we got nothing'.
Long story short: US and Europe want Iran to stop enriching uranium because Iran wants to use uranium in weapons. Iran claims it doesn't want to use uranium in weapons, and tries to find a reason that the weapons-grade uranium could be used in a nuclear power plant (nuclear power plant-type uranium is nowhere near as enriched as weapons-grade uranium). Diplomats and policy-makers all over the world see through Iran's lie, which is so stupid and blatant that it's quite insulting. Then, Iran still refuses to stop enriching uranium and claims weapons-grade uranium is Iran's "sovereign right that it will never abandon" (quoted from the article, not any particular person). And that's where we are now.
At the least, Europe had respectable demands: Iran to stop weapons-grade uranium enrichment indefinitely. The IAEA has offered to supply Iran with all the uranium that nuclear power plants could ever use, and Iran would have to turn over the used uranium to ensure that none was being used to make weapons. Iran has proven beyond the reasonable doubt that it wants nuclear weapons.

hey,
im an iranian muslim living in the US, and trust me i know how pple on the other side of the equation think. certainly, having a huge resource of oil, does not mean that a nation must compeletely rely on that, in fact, reformers in iran,(who currently hold the presidency, and are being accused of being backed by the US), got elected in office for one of thier great and influencial economic platforms that called for a gradual end to the country's relience on oil. the former US-backed iranian regime, that got kicked out 25 years ago by an "islamic revolution" actually started all this nuclear activities, and that was the regime that built most of the facilities (with the help of the US of course) that are now being attacked politically by the so-called westerners.
as a country that has revoluted against its own king just for gain compelete independence against the imperial world of Britain, United states and the Soviets, Iran, will never accept a deal that would cause its pple to feel dependent on the "others". what the europeans are suggesting now is that they are going to provide the energy for iran in return of irans ban of nuclear enrichment. but onr thing they dont know is how the iranians think! well, i know the way my pple think, and im teling you, they would not accept such a deal. "why dont they let us generate our own energy??!". thats what they have in mind. and of course thats the big question to the coilition of stopping iran from its nuclear activities.

one problem: weapons-grade uranium is very different from nuclear power plant-type uranium. Iran is making weapons-grade uranium. If you try to put weapons-grade uranium into a nuclear reactor, it does the very thing weapons-grade uranium is famous for: makes a very big explosion. Such explosions are usually not welcome in expensive, brand new power plants.
Plus, the very thing you claim to want is the very thing the US and Europe is offering: Iran to generate its own nuclear power. We don't want Iran enriching its own uranium, because Iran tends to enrich it until it is weaponbs-grade. Plus, enriching is expensive and can probably cause some problems if not done exactly right. So, the US and Europe has a very simple requirement that Iran returns its used fuel rods to the IAEA. This also saves Iran money, as it is expensive to dispose of nuclear waste. If Iran did not return used fuel rods, some of the rods could be sent for further enrichment and made into Iranian weapons or sold to another nation - like North Korea (or, as it is known to North Koreans, Hell).
The only reason Iran wants to make its own uranium is to build nukes and blackmail the international community. North Korea has been doing that for years, and Clinton went along with it. As a result of Clinton's appeasement (teribly failed, I might add), the US has to build a 'nuclear shield' over the entire west coast, so we can go after North Korea without the direct threat of being nuked (our allies can still be nuked, and are more likely to be targeted, though. They are very unhappy about this).
No nation tries to make a nuclear program for peaceful, respectable reasons. At least after the first portion of the Cold War, that is. And the authoritarian Iranian government, which is quite hated by the Iranian people, as I am sure you know, has no credibility when it says it enriches uranium for respectable reasons.
