The Campaign Is Controlling Kerry
Amir Taheri, of Arabnews.com, has an excellent story on how John Kerry has changed for the election. As I question in my earlier post asking if Kerry has become a puppet for his own campaign. Apparently, I wasn’t too far off.

It’s a good article, and Taheri is a great journalist.
Also, try to read Why America was attacked on Sept 11th. Not only does it dismiss the BS theories out-of-hand, but it also settles the dispute over whether America was attacked because of what it is or what it does. The simple answer: “the United States does what it does because it is what it is”. In other words, the two are inseparable, and 9/11 taught America that it can’t follow orders from its critics.
(The choice is) between rival personas planned, shaped and marketed by party strategists, media gurus, polling specialists and focus groups. The candidate is a product designed to appeal to the market on the basis of the moods of the moment.
