Now, if this moron had simply put the ephedrine in his non-carry-on luggage, but kept the white powders (as long as neither is antrax) wih him, he might not have been caught. Butm I'm not a crack head so I don't know the signs of meth all that well. Of course, that may require him to leave the filters, hose, clamps, and balloons at home, because those might also be telling signs of a meth lab. But it's not hard to get that stuff at a local Wallmart for about $10.
Was this guy planning to make meth on the airplane? Just how stupid is this man?
[A police] officer said gray crystals in Konopatzke's [the moron with the meth lab] bag are thought to be iodine. Also found was a substance tested as ephedrine (a component used in making methamphetamine), a white powder analyzed as a diet pill and another white crystalline substance.
The officer said Konopatzke also carried coffee filters, pieces of hose, clamps and balloons — all are used to make the illegal stimulant.
